We are fully aware, that mainly our team is responsible for your satisfaction during your stay with us. The Team around Thomas Krieger and Robert Pagitsch was successfully guided and trained by the Hotel manger Somsong Thankmohk (Khun Oh).

    Thomas Krieger


    Thomas Krieger (one of the two managing directors from Tai Pan Touristik in Vienna) moved his activity field to Phuket to take care more intensive in the interests of the Viennese Mother Company in Thailand. The main interest is the management and the extension program of the Austrian Garden, what ist the biggest project from the Austrian tour operator. Under consideration of the "Feel-well-factor" the Austrian Garden shall be modernized and extended.

    Somsong Thankmohk "Oh"


    Nobody works longer in the Austrian Garden than our “Khun Oh”. In the year 1993 she started as receptionist in the former Patong Penthouse and in the last 20 years the todays hotel-professional could get experience in all parts of the hotel business. In hers position as operation manager she is responsible for nearly everything in the hotel. The staff reports directly to her and all organizational and technical belongings have to pass her hands. Khun Oh speaks Thai, Englisch and German and is always available for the wishes of our guest.

    Robert Pagitsch, a thoroughbred cook!


    After the classical three years apprenticeship in Tyrol (western Austria), he stayed in several tourism areas in Austria to gain more experience in his job. During this time he worked as sous-chef at hotel Bräuwirt in Tyrol and as kitchen-chef at hotel Piuk in Carinthia. At the age of just 21 years, he cruised for two years as first-cook on board of the luxury Liner “Zenith” trough to the Caribbean seas. After that he went back to Austria and took over the position of kitchen-chef at the famous hotel Gotthard at the Arlberg for over two years. To gain more experience in the Asian cuisine, he planned to stay one year in Thailand and took over the kitchen of the well-known K-Hotel. This planed year was extended many years and so he stays meanwhile over 22 years in Phuket, 13 years as kitchen-chef and nine years as Manager. The family guy keeps himself fit with football and tennis, loves deep-sea-fishing, searching for mushrooms and being together with family and friends at a nice dinner. Robert is resonsible for the Culinary at the Austrian Garden Restaurant.
